How the vials are made

Five stages take a peptide from its sequence to a sealed, tested vial. Synthesis, purification, lyophilization and testing happen at our partner facility in Guangdong, and our Hong Kong office handles the quote, the documents and the dispatch.

  1. Row of stainless steel synthesis reactors seen through a glass wall
Each peptide chain is built here by solid-phase synthesis.

    1of 5: Synthesis

The peptide sequence is built one amino acid at a time by solid-phase synthesis on a resin. When the chain is complete it is cleaved from the resin, washed and dried.

Stage output: Crude peptide, which goes on to purification.

  2. Preparative chromatography columns and stainless steel benches in a purification room
Preparative HPLC brings the crude peptide to its purity specification.

    2of 5: Purification

The crude peptide is separated by preparative HPLC, and only the fractions that meet the purity specification of ≥ 99% are pooled. Each pooled fraction keeps its chromatogram.

Stage output: A purified fraction with its chromatogram.

  3. Open lyophilizer door with shelves loaded with trays of vials
Filled vials are freeze dried on the shelves of the lyophilizer.

    3of 5: Lyophilization

The purified solution is filled into 3 mL vials, or 10 mL vials for NAD+ and 5-Amino-1MQ. Filled vials are loaded onto the lyophilizer shelves and freeze dried; the vials are then sealed with a crimp and a flip-off cap.

Stage output: Sealed vials with a dry cake.

  4. Analytical instruments on a laboratory bench
Every lot is tested by RP-HPLC and mass spectrometry before release.

    4of 5: Quality control

Samples from every lot are tested for purity by RP-HPLC, identity by mass spectrometry and water content by Karl Fischer titration. A lot is released only when every test conforms.

Stage output: The lot certificate, on request.

  5. Packing tables with cartons and trays ready to be filled
Vials are packed in trays of 10 and cartoned for dispatch.

    5of 5: Packing and dispatch

Vials are packed in trays of 10 and cartoned, with cold packs when you ask for them. The parcel leaves by DHL, FedEx or EMS, and you get the tracking number when the parcel is dispatched. In stock: 1 to 2 business days after payment; large orders (500 vials or more): 5 to 7 business days.

    Stage output: A tracked parcel.

Send the product and quantity you need, and we reply with the final price and the shipping cost.
